This sweet backyard wedding was out in the outskirts of Toms Brook, Virginia. We really weren’t sure what the outcome of the outdoor wedding would be. A pop up storm was brewing behind Great North Mountain, and it looked rough. The couple did plan ahead and had a tent that could house the ceremony, however we were really hoping that the rain wouldn’t show.
Unfortunately, it did show. And it torrential down poured. We waited out the storm and the family got the last minute preparations done. Thankfully as it got close to the ceremony time, the storm subsided. We got the bridal party’s images done, as well as the first look with Cassidy’s dad.
We made it through the ceremony without a spit of rain, and it was beautiful. Then we got a second blessing of rain during the wedding party introductions. All in all, Cassidy & Jake’s wedding was a banger of a party.
