What to Expect
I’m a lifestyle photographer. That means I don’t bring fancy props, buckets, or overly posed setups.
Instead, I focus on:
- Connection
- Natural light
- Real moments
- Your family exactly as you are
I’m also a mom of five — so truly, nothing phases me.
Toddlers melting down? Totally normal.
Baby needing to nurse? Expected.
House feeling lived-in? That’s real life.
You don’t need to make it special for me.

Please Don’t Deep Clean
I mean it.
Early postpartum rest is more important than scrubbing baseboards.
I promise:
- I don’t need your house Pinterest-perfect.
- I can work around laundry baskets.
- I move clutter if needed.
- I shoot in tight, intentional angles.
My own house isn’t magazine-ready either — and I still create beautiful photos there.
Your home doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be yours.
Light is Everything

The only thing we truly need?
Good natural light from a window.
I’ll usually use:
- The master bedroom
- The nursery
- The living room
If there’s a window with soft light, we can make magic there.
Every home photographs differently, which means your images won’t look exactly like anyone else’s — and that’s the beauty of it.
I’m not trying to copy another gallery.
I’m capturing your story in your space.
Your Photos Will Be Unique

Because every home is different:
- Wall colors vary
- Window sizes vary
- Light direction varies
Your images will reflect your environment and your season of life.
That’s intentional.
I don’t recreate someone else’s Pinterest board.
I capture your perspective.
What to Wear
Comfort first. Always.
Newborn sessions are slow and cozy. You’ll be sitting, snuggling, feeding, rocking.

Best Choices:
- Neutrals (cream, beige, soft browns, muted greens, soft blues)
- Earth tones
- Simple, soft fabrics
- Flowing dresses or cozy knits for mom
- Basic tees, henleys, or sweaters for dad
Try to Avoid:
- Bright reds
- Neon colors
- Bold purples
- Busy patterns
- Large logos
- High-contrast stripes
Strong colors (especially reds and purples) are much harder to edit accurately in indoor lighting and can reflect onto skin tones.
Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully in natural light and keep the focus on your connection.
Siblings
If older siblings are involved:
- Let them be kids.
- Don’t stress about “perfect behavior.”
- I work fast with toddlers.
- We’ll make it fun.
I’m not expecting still statues. I’m expecting real life.
A Few Final Reminders
- Feed baby right before I arrive if possible.
- Warm homes = sleepy babies.
- Pacifiers are welcome (even if you’re “not using one long term”).
- Breaks are normal.
- Nursing photos are always beautiful and welcome.
This season is tender and fleeting.
You don’t need perfection — you just need presence.
I’ll take care of the rest.
