The Smiths at Golden Acres Flower Farm | 2025

It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with other local small businesses and flower lovers like myself. This recent session with the Smith family at Golden Acres Flower Farm was a dream come true! After getting rained out for multiple days, we finally got the chance to shoot at golden hour—and the evening turned out to be absolutely gorgeous.

The Smiths were an absolute joy to work with. The kids were full of energy and curiosity, and while it’s always a bit of a challenge to wrangle little ones for photos, they behaved so well! Honestly, when you have kids this age, that’s the most you can ask for—and it made for such a fun and relaxed session.

Golden Acres Flower Farm was the perfect backdrop for this golden hour session. The small greenhouse added a touch of charm to the scene, but it was the vast fields of vibrant flowers that really stole the show. With soft pinks, yellows, and purples stretching as far as the eye could see, it felt like we were walking through a painter’s palette of blooms.

As the sun began to set, the light turned into the soft, amber glow that only golden hour can provide. It created a dreamlike atmosphere around the Smiths, making every moment feel magical. Whether the kids were running through the flowers or pausing for a hug with their parents, you could feel the warmth of the day’s light wrap around them.

One of my favorite moments was when the family took a pause near a beautiful patch of flowers. Their faces lit up with joy, and you could tell they were just savoring the moment together. With the golden light casting a soft glow over them, it was one of those perfect, fleeting moments that makes you appreciate the simple beauty of life.
